Scallion Salad (Pachae)

Ingredients

Ingredients:

6 stalks of scallions

1 cup chicory lettuce, chopped

 

Sauce:

2 Tbsp Korean Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp Maesil, Plum syrup

3-4 Tbsp scallion, chopped

1 Tbsp Gochugaru, coarse

1 tsp sugar

1 pinch black pepper

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tsp sesame seeds

  1. Chop and shred scallions with shredder tool. Toss the root ends.

  2. Soak scallion in ice cold water for 10 min. Drain completely (or keep it uncovered in fridge for 30min to dry off)

  3. Make sauce and set aside.

  4. Chop chicory lettuce and set aside.

  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine scallions and chicory lettuce. Drizzle sauce on top and gently toss with hand. Serve immediately.
